About Me

I live in the local area and frequently take my Cocker Spaniel dog Barney for walks through the local woods and into Yarrow Valley Park. I have always been a keen ornithologist so I thought what better than to combine walking the dog with a spot of bird watching (and anything else besides!)

The habitat in the area is diverse and ranges from deciduous woodland to open meadow and farmland. The river Yarrow itself meanders its way through the valley and provides a perfect haven for many species of birds, mammals and insects.
